Gavin is working on some teeth but until then he looks like a vampire. None of my other kids got their fangs in before the front teeth. It makes me laugh! He thinks he's so big. He has to do all the things the other kids do, not all of it is good though. The other day Cody made him mad so he spit at him then hit him. Cody thought it was so funny he kept making him mad so he would hit him. Not good!

The kids are so excited for Christmas. We tried to get some pictures taken for Christmas cards but it didn't work out real well. I did get a couple of ok pictures.

Wow! I am not good at blogging! Blake had his 9th birthday. I can't believe he's that old already. It's gone by so fast! He had a couple of friends over and they played some games like pumpkin bowling and toilet paper mummies. I think they had a good time.

My kids had fun on Halloween. We had a witch, a dog, Mario (from Super Mario Bros.), and a ninja. Mario lost his mustache so we had to draw one on. We ended up in Springerville and didn't get to go to very many houses but they had fun.

We have a little monkey. I catch him on the kitchen table and coffee table all the time. I watched him get in the draw in the bathroom then climb onto the counter. I didn't get a picture of him on the counter but I get one of him in the drawer. He's such a wild man!

I'm finally able to get on here and do some updates. It's be a little wild! Last month Gavin turned 1. It went by so fast! He just doesn't seem like he's a year old - poor little guy. He had a dinosaur cake and got a lot of fun presents. My older kids even play with them. He's still trying to walk. He takes a few steps bit but then gets scared and sits down. He's such a funny kid with lots of personality.

Paige started preschool this month and it loving it. She can't wait to go each time. Everyday she's asking if she has school today. She is so funny. She loves to sing and is always singing a song that she knows or making up her own. The other day she was playing in my shoes and had some of my flip flops on. They have sequins on them so she was calling them dancing shoes. Then she started singing a song about mom's dancing shoes. It was so funny!

Cody started soccer. He's having a good time. He's had a couple of games and even made 3 goals one game. He was so excited. He hasn't made any other ones but it really working on it. He is loving kindergarten. His teacher says he sits quietly at his desk and raises his hand to talk. As far as I know he hasn't had his card changed yet(something they do when they get in trouble. They have to miss part or all of a recess.) Maybe I need to start doing that at home to see if it will work!

Blake is playing football. It's been a little rough on us. The first game he didn't get to play his minimum amount of plays which is 8. That still doesn't seem like anything but he maybe got 6. So we were a little upset. Justin talked to the coach about it and he said Blake was a little scared to get hit, so he had a talk with him and he's done awesome! He's been playing a little bit more, usually on defense, sometimes on kickoffs. He's made some good tackles and hits. They have played 3 games and haven't won yet but there are only 4 or 5 kids on their team that have played before. They are doing really good though and hopefully they will win a game.

We were able to go camping with the Eagar family for Labor Day. It was a lot of fun. The kids rode 4-wheelers and played in the dirt. Blake shot his first chipmunk and thought it was really cool to pick it up with his bare hands even though it was still alive. So yucky! It was a way better experience than the first camping trip. We didn't have any problems with the trailer and the kids slept pretty good.

One more thing. This past weekend Jamie, Jana, Jill, and I were able to go to Thatcher and meet Marcia Lynn McClure. She is the author of a bunch of books that we love. AWESOME books! We were there with a few other women where we got to ask her questions and talk to her. She is so much fun and had the best stories! A lot of things that happen in her books are from real life experiences which makes them even better. Her husband was there with her and he was just as funny. I had a lot of fun and would love to see her again!

School, a Birthday, and a Tooth

I am so excited school started! It has been so nice having just two kids at home. Paige is supposed to start preschool after Labor Day. Hopefully she will be able to go in the morning so I will just have Gavin at home. I know most people are sad their kids are gone but it has been a lot more quiet and no fighting. Cody started kindergarten. It's too bad it's only half day because he's loving it. He got Mrs. Douglass (Blake's kindergarten teacher). He really likes her. I hope he's nice for her! Blake started 3rd grade. He has Mrs. Birdno. I'm so excited about the teachers they have this year. They are both awesome teachers and great ladies.

Paige just had her 3rd birthday. Time goes by so fast! She wanted a princess party so everything was princesses, even the presents she got. She got so many fun things. She's having a blast playing with them all!

Now for the really exciting news. Gavin finally got his first tooth in! It's about dang time. I think 5 more are pretty close to coming in too. It's barely through but at least it's coming in. I hope his teeth last longer than the other kids' did. They are way too expensive!

4th of July, School, and Sports

Ok, let's see if I can remember what's happened since the last time I posted. We put our house up for sale. We've had no luck yet. We will probably be in this house forever.

The 4th of July was a lot of fun. We went to Eagar for the parade and had a good time with family. It was good to see Jodi and Malea down from Canada. I haven't done any sewing in a long time but I had a lot of fun making Paige's outfit. I might have to try it again sometime. Then we came home for the fireworks and watched it from our front yard with Jana, Chas, Brooke, and Bryson. Oh yeah and some lady we don't know. She parked on the side of the road to watch and ended up giving the kids some glow bracelets. Then watched the rest of the fireworks with us. Unfortunately, Justin was busy working all day and we missed him lots.

Cody's t-ball ended. He did pretty good. He was excited to get a little metal to wear around his neck. He will be starting soccer pretty soon. This will be first year for him so he's really excited. Blake started football practice this week. This is his first year. He's loving it so far. They had 2 1/2 hour practices this week so that they could get their pads and helmets. He's been wearing them around every day. I can't wait for the games to start!

A couple of weeks ago we took the kids down to the valley. We went to Uncle Shane's and went swimming. It was lots of fun to see everyone. Then we took Blake and Cody to Amazing Jake's. We all had a good time. The bumper cars and lazer tag were a big hit. We will have to go there again! Last weekend we were able to go to the Bakarich family reunion and see some of Justin's family. It was really good to see them. It's been a while.

School starts on the 11th. I'm counting the days. Blake will be in 3rd and Cody in kindergarten. We will find out on Wednesday who their teachers are. I think we have Paige lined out for preschool so I'm looking forward to just one kid at home for a while!

I really need to do better at keeping up so I don't have to go back and remember everything that's been going on. Hopefully I will get most of it. Cody started peewee t-ball. He's doing really well. He looks like a pro out there this year. He's so excited about playing. Thankfully he only has a couple more weeks then we are on to football and soccer.

We took the kids camping last weekend which was an adventure. We had some problems with our trailer that had to be taken care of and the kids had the hardest time sleeping. Saturday we were able to go over to Alpine to see Justin's grandparents that we haven't seen in a while. It was really nice to see them. The kids got to ride on Grandpa Jerry's tractor which was fun for them. They also got to eat ribs for the first time and they loved it! Sunday we went in to town for sacrament meeting and afterwards everyone came up and hung out with us. It was a lot of fun.

Today Justin was so nice and let me have a break and took the kids geocaching. They had a lot of fun and were excited about the toys they got to put in and take out of the boxes. They can't wait to go again. I'm excited to go with them next time.

Blake has been playing baseball. He's a good little player. He's been doing really well this year. He hits almost everytime. Sometimes he gets a double or triple. No homeruns yet but he's working on it. We just got him signed up for football. He's really excited about that. Practices start the end of July. He can't wait. He's pretty excited for school to be over. The boys can't wait to go camping. Hopefully, we will be able to do that soon!

Cody is so excited to start kindergarten next year! We're hoping he gets Mrs. Douglass. Blake had her and she was an awesome teacher! We just signed him up for t-ball and soccer. He played t-ball last year and liked it. This will be his first year for soccer. He can't wait to play.

Paige is so funny! She's such a girl! She loves bows and flowers in her hair and loves her babydolls. Sometimes she puts her backpack on and pretends to go to school or Walmart. She loves to go places.

I can't believe Gavin is 9 months already! It's gone by so fast! He's such a wildman! He can't hold still for anything, especially now that he's crawling. He's into everything! And he's getting pretty quick. He pulls himself up too. He's getting way too big.
